"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled." Matthew 5:6
I recently went camping with a good friend of mine in an attempt to conquer nature, just like those guys do on shows like Man vs. Wild. We were going catch our own food and survive on the land. Long story short, after attempting to fry up some very small fish we caught, and then choke them down, bones and all, we decided to run down the street and get some peanut butter and jelly. However, we were so hungry after missing just a few meals, you would've thought those sandwiches were fit for kings. Think about how hungry you are when you haven’t eaten all day. Our physical bodies need sustenance every day to function properly. In the same manner, our spiritual bodies also need to be fed every day. Jesus makes us a great promise, if we pursue a right way of living according to His principles in the same way we feed our bodies everyday, we will be filled. If you struggle with not being content in your life I would challenge you to make a concerted effort to feed your spirit every day consistently. Jesus promises that you will be filled and he never breaks a promise.
