I purchased this album only after watching Steven Curtis Chapman's video of "Remembering You," so technically I bought it for one song. That quickly changed after I listened to the whole album and fell in love with every song. Each song describes to listeners the feelings and views of the fated Pevensie siblings and their time in Narnia. The artists, ranging from Song of the Year's holder Jeremy Camp to worship leader Chris Tomlin, subtly bring up the power and majesty of Jesus Christ through Aslan, King of Narnia, and the strength of each child during their time in it. No song directly mentions Jesus or God, making it a perfect tool to slowly introduce the mysteriousness and love of Christ to non-Christian adorers of the movie. Songs vary from Delirious?'s slow ballad of strength and love to TobyMac's rap "New World," from David Crowder*Band's upbeat song of temptations to Chris Tomlin's worship-esque "You're the One." This album is a great buy and contains a unique collection of artists. Pick it up today and accompany it with a viewing of Walt Disney Pictures presentation of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, playing at a theater near you!
