Don't worry if you can't pronounce her last name. Jaime Jamgochian's first album for Centricity Records is certainly one you'll be finding yourself singing along to. In "Reason to Live," Jaime all out worships our Creator with a powerful voice in both soft and pop-ish tunes.
Song subjects range from complete thanks to Jesus, to the power of His majesty in our own lives, to desperation as she begs for Him to hear the worship she offers. Because of the wide range, this CD is perfect to listen to during the good and bad days, offering listeners a time of reflection and a desire to look up when things get down.
The title track is an upbeat reminder that God is everywhere we are. Through our highs and our lows: "If I rise on the wings of dawn, I would find you there. If I reside in the depths of the sea, You're there. It's a mystery how Your love keeps pouring down on me. You set me free." The chorus explains that nothing compares to the power of Christ and no words can express it.
"Love Irresistible" is a strong song on the album and the verses go beyond worship. They dive into life's ups and downs, recounting our regrets and other actions we would rather forget. The chorus lets us know that God still exists in our lives and He "holds me tight" despite everything we've done to shame Him.
Included on this album is a beautiful duet with singer/songwriter Scott Krippayne in "Lift Up the Name." Also included is the bonus track, "Heart of Heaven."
Good or bad day, high or low, this CD is one to add to your music collection. With heartfelt lyrics and comforting sound, it's sure to please.
