Jessie Daniels

Jessie Daniels'
self-titled debut album is a powerful anthem for a younger generation of Christians, yearning for a role model. Added to Radio Disney, Daniels' catchy pop tunes proclaim a message of hope and let the listener know that Jesus is the one and only person needed for an abundant life. The album is also a great encouragement for young people struggling to keep the faith when hard times come their way.

The CD starts off with her first single, "The Noise," which has already climbed to #2 on the Radio and Records Christian Hit Radio charts. This incredible introduction describes the loud world that we all live in, but gives encouragement that God's "voice comes through the static, it's automatic." Jessie goes on to sing "things that used to matter suddenly just scatter when you break through the noise."

In the rock song "Next to You," Jessie depicts the power of God and His immense yearning to be with us. She sings that He "broke the rules of time, rearranged the universe and brought [His] world to mine so I could be next to [Him]." This is the message that people need to hear - the reassurance that God can break through any barriers to be with the ones He loves.

One of my favorites off the album comes in at track five. "What I Hear" tells of the doubt that goes through almost everyone's mind when becoming a Christian. "Can it be that You see something beautiful in me?" The song ends on the idea that "it sounds too good to be true, what I hear about you."

Other songs on the album include "Hello/Goodbye," "What Happened to Me?," and two versions of "Hold Me Now."

With this testimonial album, Daniels offers herself up as a positive role model for adults and teens alike. Be sure to pick up your copy on June 6th!
