While attending Spirit West Coast, ccmBuzz got together with the guys from Decyfer Down. Caleb, Josh, Chris and Brandon talked about their new album, upcoming tour and even gave us a bit of background info on the band.

Coming from a small town in North Carolina, they have been together for about four years as Decyfer Down and in June they released their first CD, End of Grey, on the SRE Records label.

The chart topping "Life Again" and "No Longer" are a couple of the band?s favorite songs off End of Grey but they feel that there is something special about every song. The album describes the trials they went through as a band and personal experiences in their lives along with particular points in their walk with Christ. End of Grey is definitely an offering from the band themselves. They sing about where they've been and where they're going. The title describes how God made things more clear for them as individuals and also as a band. They are quite proud of the album, describing it as the birth of their sound - a different kind of guitar driven rock with a lot of heavy, groove bass. Their hope is that fans will listen and make each song their own.

While they love meeting fans, the guys of Decyfer Down don?t feel that they are anything special, stating that God's just given them a different job to do.

Showcased for the first time at GMA Week in Nashville this year, Decyfer Down talks about how much they enjoyed the experience. Other tour dates include a recent outing with Day of Fire on the Reborn Tour, a West Coast tour with Red and Nevertheless in August and also some dates on the Shoutfest tour in September.

If you haven?t caught up with Decyfer Down yet, never fear. They?ll be coming to a town near you soon! Check out their official website at, www.decyferdown.com.
